StatureEstablished

A settled top-flight club making no claim above itself or below it.

FanbaseMedium

An ordinary following that fills its own ground and some of yours.

StandingFledgling

Something on the board, and not yet enough of it to be known for.

Expectation
To keep climbing on a settled squad
Identity
Chemistry over glamour, and it is working

A club that grew without anyone deciding to make it grow. No enormous signing, no takeover, no era — and, a long way back, an old league title that sits oddly on a club this quiet. Nothing since has come close and nothing about the place suggests it is owed one. Just a squad kept together while better-funded clubs rebuilt around them, and a crowd that has thickened every year because the football has been worth the trip.

Eighth, fourteenth, sixth, and third in Season 4, their best, above clubs with far more spent on them. Their eighty-one goals are the most any club has scored in a season. The quietest top-four side the league has had.

Rivalries

The One-Sided Derby

Fish United

HeatSimmering

Quiet at the moment, and not gone. It has been hotter and could be again.

Celta Ferrets climbed to third in Season 4, their best, built on a settled squad rather than signings. Fish United have finished sixteenth or lower in three of four seasons. Fish United named this one; Celta Ferrets have not, and that asymmetry is the rivalry.
